Position Summary
The Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) for Genetics and Rehabilitation at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha is currently accepting applications for Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in the integrated Center of Autism Spectrum Disorders (iCASD). This is an open rank position (Rank DOQ).

Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children with autism spectrum disorders and their families in providing high-quality behaviorally based interventions. Candidates will have opportunities to coordinate and implement a variety of evidence-based treatment programs, such as intensive comprehensive interventions based in behavior analysis, focused interventions related to sleep, toileting, and other associated difficulties, caregiver mediated interventions, and behavior management for children preschool age through adolescence. Additionally, faculty supervise masters and doctoral level graduate students, predoctoral interns and post-doctoral fellows in developing research projects and in the delivery of clinical assessment and intervention. The area of clinical and research interest is open. The position is most appropriate for candidates with strong interests in applied clinical research, as well as those interested in applying for internal and extramural funding. Candidates will have completed doctoral training in psychology, behavior analysis, or related field. Candidates eligible for licensure as a psychologist in the state of Nebraska are encouraged to apply.

About iCASD:
iCASD offers comprehensive ABA services to children diagnosed with autism that is focused on developing robust, meaningful social communication, play, social, and adaptive skills. The department is a collegial group of clinical educators and clinical researchers who seek to incorporate training and research activities into clinical service delivery within a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary center. MMI recently moved into a brand new, state- of-the-art facility and has prioritized expansion of innovative clinical and educational programs serving those with a wide range of physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral disabilities.
All department faculty play an important role in education and provide clinical supervision for a variety of undergraduate and graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. Faculty in the department supervise predoctoral interns as part of the Nebraska Internship Consortium in Professional Psychology, which is APA accredited. Department faculty have opportunities to teach courses in the ABA Master’s degree program, as well as the ABA doctoral degree program, which prepares graduates for clinical, research, or faculty positions.
