BTBS Change Management and Communication 

The Business Technology and Security  (TS) Change Management and Communication Analyst is a change management and communication practitioner with experience driving technology changes, with a focus on people side of change. This role applies change management methodology to help transition through change, increase user adoption and meet desired objectives. BTBS Change Management and Communication Analyst coordinates and implements industry-recognized change management practices in support of leadership and their direct reports.  

This role provides support and consultation to the leadership on communication priorities across the business unit. This roles engages in creating communication and messaging for the business unit leadership and teams. The BTBS Change Management and Communication Analyst collaborates with Enterprise Change Management and Corporate Marketing and Communication teams to ensure alignment with OPPD's processes, practices and tools for the change management and communication domain.

Lead change management efforts by engaging sponsors, project teams and business partners through creation of actionable deliverables for the five elements of change for large scale projects: Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability and Reinforcement (ADKAR). 

  • Perform stakeholder analysis and change management assessments, evaluate change readiness and collaborate with key stakeholders to address the highlighted opportunities.
  • Collaborate and consult with project teams, business partners, and solution users to identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation technics. 
  • Develop and execute change management plans, including sponsorship plans, coaching plans, resistance management plans as well as communication and training plans.

Contribute to maturing change management capabilities and toolsets:

  • Develop standard toolkits and templates for the consistent application of OPPD's change management methodology. Contribute to change management processes and tools maturity efforts. 
  • Drive consistency in change management plans and messaging through consistent application of OPPD's change management framework.

Provide support and consultation to business unit leadership and teams on change management and communication priorities to achieve desired outcomes:

  • Develop effective presentations, messaging and publications.
  • Identify audience, develop key messaging and determine best channels for distribution of communications.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of business unit meetings and town halls.
  • Provide training planning and training design consultation to training developers.
  • Propose, develop, author and edit communication materials and plans for various initiatives.

Maintain business unit's digital communications channels:

  • Design and build business unit SharePoint site and support teams with development of team level sites.
  • Develop processes and practices to ensure content on the TS SharePoint site is accurate and up-to-date and is in alignment with corporate guidelines.

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Organizational Development or related field or seven years of experience in a related field.
  • Five years of experience in employee communication and change management.
  • Must be able to obtain Prosci change management certification or similar organizational change management certification within the first six (6) months.
  • Experience with large-scale change efforts.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for digital tools and new technologies.
  • Experience with projects that encompass both business and technical change.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to clearly articulate and communicate complex concepts to all levels of the organization, both to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong relationship building, influencing, conflict resolution and consultation skills and ability to establish and maintain positive work relationships with peers, management, key stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and be effective when work or priorities shift frequently. 
  • Experience designing and building SharePoint intranet sites. 

Desired: 

  • Master's Degree in Communication or related field.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of business drivers, success measures, and implication of business decisions on employees
