Tax Intern

POSITION SUMMARY: 

In this role, the tax intern will assist with and learn various state sales and use tax regulations and their application to the advertising industry. Daily tasks will include administrative support in updating tax documentation, as well as completion and organization of supporting documentation.

The expected duration of this internship is 3-5 months.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Review and research unclaimed property such as old outstanding checks.
  • Review and file notices, letters, or bills for tax due.
  • Maintain and update 10k tax accounts to reflect new addresses and emails.
  • Assist on various tax department projects as required.
  • Run departmental reports as assigned.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of sales tax returns.
  • Regular and reliable attendance required.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently enrolled as a Sophomore or Junior seeking a Bachelor of Accounting, preferred
  • Must have excellent computer knowledge of Excel
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • P.A of 3.0 or higher preferred
