Fortune 500 National Title Insurance Company with an Office in Omaha. Will be involved in Title Claims and Litigation. When submitting your resume please detail your experience in Title Insurance, Contract or Claims Litigation. If you do not have experience in those areas, detail your experience in Residential Mortgage, Title and/or Deeds.
The Claims Attorneys will analyze the Title Insurance claims when they come in, do the research and work the claim through the process.
Salary open depending on experience that relates, whether a candidate has a law degree or a paralegal degree and the responsibility the person can handle
Receive and process notices of title insurance claims for title insurance underwriters
Determine agent, obtain proof of insurance, examine real property and escrow documents
Determine insurability and issue applicable resolution and/or response letters to claimant and underwriter's agent, applying state specific real property laws to each claim matter
Communicate with various state and regional underwriting counsel for legal advice
Advise claimants and underwriters' agents of defects and requirements for resolving title defects
Draft Certificates of Release to clear prior, unreleased mortgages (when agent is closed or cancelled)
Hire outside counsel, when necessary, for litigation matters
Monitor urgency, priority, flow, and number of claims/clearance matters for various states

Stock purchase 15 % of salary. Company can contribute – matches but pays back 5% - can sell company stock the next day and matching still goes into effect
